YARD: DUTIL/MORRIS/POIRIER

Georges Dutil, David Morris, François Poirier: three friends and collaborators with forty years of experience and exploration of the world, art and photography, unite for a cause.

TRIAGE, an exhibition to help La Marie Debout, a women's center in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district of Montreal, opens its doors on Thursday, May 17, 2018, until May 26, 2018, at the Atelier/Galerie Marc Gosselin._cc781905 -5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

Georges Dutil's photographs document the unique spirit of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, the working-class and industrial district where he lives, which has become a creative center in visual arts, music and poetry. For the past ten years, he has been working on a visual chronicle that he calls HOCHELAGADIE. Mr. Dutil has worked in journalism, print media, music videos, record covers and art installations in Montreal, New York and Paris.

David Morris' trajectory includes animation, television, advertising and fine art. A native of Ottawa, Mr. Morris works as an international consultant for blue-chip clients. He participated in the collective exhibition SPARE CHANGES, at the Atlantic Center for the Arts (supported by the National Endowment for the Arts); and at Miami's Galerie Z pop-up, with photographer Ali X Miranda.

François Poirier lives in Montreal. He travels the world for corporate clients and tries to capture the beautiful in the ordinary. He perceives the beauty of familiar places and times. His attention is drawn and he digitally captures, paints and transforms the subject. The world is filled with details of exceptional beauty; François tries to communicate, amplify and share this beauty with you.

Mr. Dutil's body of work includes journalism, print magazines, album covers, music videos, and art installations in Montreal, New York, and Paris.
