MARC GOSSELIN

Marc Gosselin, l'Atelier/Galerie presents the exhibition On Board edition 2, by curators BEZO, LÉLÉ O'S and MARC GOSSELIN. On Board offers carte blanche to 80 artists, for 80 skateboards. An extraordinary event that highlights artists from all backgrounds, contemporary, street art as well as underground art. Colorful exhibition, exploded and representing diversity on a common medium. Invites professional and emerging artists from the Montreal art scene. KARINE DEMERS, SOPHIE WILKINS, JOSIANE LANTHIER, TINA CARTIER, ÉRIC BRAÜN, MATTHEW BELVAL, MELSA MONTAGNE, EMMANUEL LAFLAMME,
PAT CANTIN, FREDERICK OUELLET, FRANÇOIS ESCAMEL, SANTERRE and MONOSOURCIL, to name a few, will present unpublished works for a unique exhibition!
The opening night of August 8 will be the occasion to see, at the entertainment, DJ HORG and FUSER between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. Boréale will be the partner for the evening.

 

BEZO - Curator:

Born in Montreal, BEZO is a young self-taught artist. He spent his childhood in the Montreal-North district. Inspired by street art, he began experimenting with skateboarding and graffiti art at an early age. Through these experiences, he associates with the marginal population of Montreal such as punks, drug addicts and the homeless. His contact with this segment of the population will have a great influence on the protagonists of his works. BEZO likes to create cheerful environments, at first glance, with bright colors and happy-looking characters. On the other hand, when one observes more closely, it is clear that his characters have twisted and tormented minds.

 

LÉLÉ O'S

Collagist artist who is very interested in recovering existing works to inhabit his playful and eccentric characters. Thus, she likes a busy composition to ensure that her audience finds something new each time they look at the work.
